Tigerpede Tutorial by GuthrieArtwork Tigerpede Tutorial by GuthrieArtwork
A few people have asked about my process with pencils so since I took a few process shots I decided to put this together. Not much else to say, I've been pretty busy but might have at least a sketch-dump soon.Anyway hope this helps, if you have any questions feel free to ask. :)

Tools used: 5mm mechanical pencil, Tuff Stuff Eraser Stick, kneaded eraser, cotton swab, Photoshop, paper from my Pentalic sketchbook (I believe it is 70-pound acid free paper if anyone is really picky about paper and wants to know)

Google is your best friend. Just look up some "old paper" textures and add it to the layers. \o/

I really like the way you use line weight and hatching to create those nice textures on the rock and on the character's body.
And it is great to be able to see how you did this. I think people can learn a lot from it. =)
